About Us
I still remember the first time I played golf...I had no clue what I was doing. Sure I had hit a few balls on the driving range with friends, but I had never really taken it seriously. I kept telling myself that golf was for old guys. But every time I hit a great shot on the range I tought "I could get to liking this."
So when a friend invited me to play a round one Saturday I thought "why not?" I'll give it a try and see if I like it. Max set up a tee time and off we went.
On the first hole I hit a 5 iron about 205 yards. The only problem was that I was only 140 yards from the green! I didn't know which club should be used from that distance. My buddy told me to use the 5 iron because that was what he would use from that distance. He had been playing for about 5 years and was not amused when a first timer hit the ball farther and straighter than he could. He also didn't like it when we added up the scorecard at the end of the round. Needless to say, I was hooked!
Thru much practice at the driving range I quickly learned the distance I could consistently hit each club, the different types of clubs and the difference in quality from different manufacturers. I discovered that I couldn't hit a driver more than 100 yards but I could consistently hit the 3 wood 250-275 yards. I also learned that I could handle the long irons fairly well but I was wildly inconsistent with the middle irons. And don't even ask what happened when I went in a sand trap! All I will say is "duck and cover".
After years of spending a ton of money upgrading my golf clubs I finally decided to try out a pre owned golf store that had opened close to my house. I was amazed at the prices and the selection that was available. I bought two sets of clubs from that store before they went out of business.
Then I decided that I liked not paying retail for clubs so I should just open my own golf store on the internet and feature pre owned golf clubs. Since Callaway golf clubs had become my preferred set I decided that I should build my store around their products.
So take a look around, find the best pre owned golf clubs on the market and get out and play.
Today would be a great day to play 36 holes!
Enjoy,
Chris Wright
